Indeed, ‘Sofe’ is the name of a mountain from the Zagros mountains in the south Isfahan. This mountain starts from a lake called ‘Khachik’ where hills are standing there. The mountain will finish in somewhere close to a ‘flat’ (which means ‘Saf’ in Persian) and due to the same reason, it is called ‘Soffe’.
The place contains many green spaces and provides you with a chance to go climbing and jugging and that’s why the mountain is so famous between the people. Moreover, the mountain has a lot of historical values as it is being said that back in the day, people were using this mountain as a shield and the way castles and the architecture shows that the place date back to Sasani dynasty.
One should note that this place is not just a mountain but one should know that this place involves many different luxurious places for enjoying your time among them one can mention the zoo in the Soffe mountain, the Baad defile which is in the south part of Soffe having east to west winds, lakes (involving Pachenar, Khachik etc. which are now dry due to the drain year), The ShahDez castle (which is the most important attraction of the Soffe mountain and is in the northern part on the mountain itself), beautiful caves, Tele Cabin, bridges, the wind park and playgrounds for the children, the 5 dimensional cinema, restaurants, cafes and many beautiful sightseeing.
