Monar Jonban also known as Sheikh Amir Abdullah (the Tomb of Amo Abdullah ibn-Mahmoud Saghlai) is one of the most wonderful historical monuments in Iran and the world.
It was built in 1316 (716 A.H) at the reign of Sultan Mohammad Khodabande the Ilkhanid king and the architect is unknown.
The main reason for the fame of this building is its shaking minarets. If someone climbs up its 17 stairs and shakes one of the minarets by hand, the other minaret will shake too; actually, the whole building shakes, but only the movement of the minaret is so obvious.
The mausoleum is in Mongol style, one porch and 2 minarets. Its turquoise star shape tiles are so fine and double the beauty of this building.
The mysterious thing about its architecture is the usage of the physical rule resonance 700 years ago, which transfers the movement of one of the minarets to the other one and whole building. This method of construction is exclusively invented by Persian and there is no similar building in any other countries, the only one that is somehow similar to this one is a mudbrick building in Kharang village, Yazd province, known as Kharanaq Monar Jonban.
