The National Library of Kerman used to be a spinning and weaving textile factory back in the Qajar era (1929). Founded by some of the wealthy families of Yazd, Kerman and Rafsanjan. The factory went bankrupt due to the special political conditions of the second Pahlavi era. After being restored from many years of abandonment, this historical building transformed into the National Library of Kerman in 1993 and got registered as a national heritage site in 2000.

While it reminds most of the locals of their time studying and getting prepared for their exams, tourists can enjoy the stunning Qajar architecture style, eye catching brickworks and peaceful courtyard of the library.
