it has been forgotten for a while because of the war and inattention of the kings but revived at Safavid dynasty.
To make such elegant fine object, first should make silver wires from silver bullions. The purity of this bullion in Zanjan is 99.9 and its combination with proficient hand produce eye-catching objects.
The artist chooses an object like a bull or a pitcher and covers it by special wax. Then form the wires in little shapes by pliers and keen eyes as a block. put it to the wax and then attach each part by little wires together. The wax will be melted and the object will be put in diluted sulfuric acid liquid so any germ and fat will be removed. then wash it and clean it by a metal brush. And finally, the glorious filigree object is ready.
Zanjan filigree is well known because of its fine design. Each piece is handcrafted by the finest artisans using techniques passed from generation to generation.
