The forest Park of Najvan has several complex in which different kinds of creatures are gathered in a vast convenient place. the designed complexes are the bird garden, aquarium, reptile garden,butterfly garden etc. Animals live easily and humans have the chance to visit them and study on them.
The bird garden was constructed by the municipality of Isfahan on 1998 in an area of 17000 square meters. The garden is located near Zayandeh Rood river so supply a better weather for birds and also has easy access. The large area allows birds to be free, walk, live even fly whenever they want to. The area has a unique architecture. The total garden is covered by chain-linked fence pitched on 16 pillar which is moveable and let the bird fly up to 32 meters.
The garden is designed as convenient as possible for the birds. More than 5000 birds from 130 kinds are kept in this garden. Each one has especially needs and as some of them are not the native of Iran they need special cares.
The compatible birds are living close but others are kept in special cages. The lake is the place of swans, ducks, flamingos, storks, pelicans. The glass cages are for little birds that need steady weather which is supplied by different air conditioner systems. Different kinds of parrots, lovebirds, toucans live there. For birds which are originally from desert or mountains, the artificial rock cages are made. For hunter birds like owls, eagle, black vulture and Falcons the metal cage are designed. So the other birds be safe.
The huge part of this garden is designed like a jungle so the birds feel free and have enough space. one of most beautiful bird of this complex is its peacock. The beautiful peacocks walk around and by opening their wonderful feathers welcome you.
